Mr Clottey-Sefa is a Barrister-at-Law with over 30 years of professional experience. He was called to the Ghana Bar in 1990. After being in private legal practice for 13 years, he joined the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) in 2003. Until his retirement in February 2020, he was the Director, Legal Services/ Solicitor Secretary of the COCOBOD. Mr Clottey-Sefa was responsible for providing legal opinions/advice, drafting legal documents, representing the Board in court and appearing before arbitral bodies. He also Chaired the Disciplinary Committee and was In-house Counsel in charge of negotiating legal aspects of international syndicated loans between 2003 and early 2020. Before joining COCOBOD, he was the Legal/Program Officer at  Africa Legal Aid, an international non-governmental organization providing counselling services, undertaking mediation, advocacy, drafting, and conveyancing activities. Mr Clottey-Sefa- holds a Masters Degree in International Law (M.I.L.) (Human Rights and Humanitarian Law) from the Roaul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, University of Lund, Sweden. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with Honors, from the University of Ghana, Legon in 1988, and a Certificate of Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) from the Ghana School of Law in 1990. Mr Clottey-Sefa has other qualifications in International Commercial Arbitration: Keble College, Oxford University. Oxford, UK and Executive Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.  He is a member in good standing of the Ghana Bar Association and a member of the JUSTICE VCRAC-NAA YARLEY Fact-Finding Committee of the Ga Traditional Council. Mr Clottey-Sefa is a Minister of the Gospel and Head Pastor of the True Faith Family Chapel, New Weija, Accra. He is also the Director of DANBEA Farms located in the Central Region.
